DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY

Every Sunday after Easter Sunday we celebrate the Feast of the Lord of Divine Mercy. It's a new party in the Church, which has the distinction of having been requested by Jesus Christ through St. Faustina Kowalska, twentieth-century Polish nun who died in 1938 at 33 years of age.
Sister Faustina was canonized by Pope John Paul II, precisely on the Feast of Divine Mercy 2000. Papa told us that his compatriot, Sister Faustina, was very special mystical graces through contemplative prayer, to tell the world the poignant mystery of the Divine Mercy of the Lord. "God spoke to us through Sister Faustina Kowalska ... inviting in the total abandonment, "she said Papa.
Let's see what things God tells us through St. Faustina. In the Old Testament
sent him to my people the prophets with thunder. Today I am sending all mankind with My mercy. I do not want to punish humanity full of pain, but pressing it to heal my merciful heart.
Speak to the world of My mercy, so that all mankind recognize My infinite Mercy. It is the sign of recent times. Then it will come the day of justice. There is still time ... Before I come as a just Judge, I open wide the doors of My mercy. Who does not want to go through the door of My mercy must pass through the door of My justice.
God possesses all the attributes or qualities infinitely. Yes, infinitely merciful, but also infinitely just. His justice and His mercy go hand in hand.
But through this Holy of our time tells us that for now, for us, has stopped his Justice to give way to their mercy. We are not punished as deserve for our sins, nor punished as they deserve the world the sins of the world, but gives us the immense abyss of His infinite mercy. But if we open ourselves to his mercy, we must stick to his justice. Graves words of the Lord! Moreover, consistent with their words in the Gospel ... And come the time of Justice ... Come ...
Today in the Gospel (Jn 20, 19-31) and when we read the words with which Jesus instituted the sacrament of confession, of forgiveness. The mystery of His mercy. But let us also see what the Lord has told us about Confession through St. Faustina:
When you go to confession I myself know that I hope in the confessional, I'm just hiding in the priest. But I myself act in your soul. Here the misery of the soul meets the God of Mercy. Call to Confession
Tribunal of Mercy. What a name so appropriate! Because it is this: a court to which we invited (not required) and where we always acquitted (not blame us or condemn us.) Unusual: absolve us together for our lack. The sentence is always forgiveness. It is a court acquits us even though we are guilty.
How is that so many people fail to take advantage of the grace that Jesus dealt in its Court of Mercy! To qualify
does not ask the great things come with just enough faith to the feet of my representative (the Priest) and with faith confess their misery ... Although the soul like a decaying corpse (ie, dead and broken by sin) and that was all already seems lost, for God is not.
Oh! How unhappy are those who do not take advantage of this miracle of Divine Mercy! Because if you do not take the mercy now, we must follow after justice. Those are our choices.
In today's Gospel we have seen how important the Faith "Blessed are those who, without seeing, believe" Jesus Christ said to St. Thomas the Apostle, who did not want creer que Cristo había resucitado, porque no lo había visto. La Fe es la virtud sobre la cual se funda la Esperanza. De la Fe brota la confianza y ésta nos lleva a la Esperanza. La confianza es esencial para poder aprovecharnos de las gracias de la Misericordia de Dios.
