EASTER SUNDAY EASTER SUNDAY 4 th

4 th Sunday of Easter Mass
Texts: Acts 2, 14.36-41, 1 Peter 2, 20-25;
John 10, 1-10
GOSPEL

At that time Jesus said to the Pharisees: "I assure you that that does not fit the door into the sheepfold, but climbs on the other hand, is a thief and bandit, but he who enters by the gate is the shepherd sheep. This one opens the guard and care for your voice sheep, and he goes by the name calling to his sheep and leads them out. When he has brought all his own, walking in front of them and the sheep follow him, they know his voice, a stranger will not follow but will flee from him, they know not the voice of strangers.
Jesus made this comparison, but they did not understand what he spoke. That is why Jesus said: "I assure you I am the door of the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not listen. I am the door: whoever enters through me will be saved, and can come and go, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and slaughter, I have come that they may have life and have it abundantly. COMMENT

After a hearty dinner in one of those grand mansions of Hollywood, a famous actor entertained the guests by reciting famous passages from the works of Shakespeare.
the end accepted a last request. A shy and old priest asked if he knew the Psalm 23. Yes, I know it and recite it on one condition, that when I finished reciting, recite you the same psalm.
a little embarrassed the priest accepted the challenge.
The actor said it beautifully and applauded him enthusiastically.
The priest stood up and said the same words but this time there was no applause, just silence and a few tears content.
The actor relished the silence for a moment and stood up. Ladies and gentlemen I hope you have understood what just happened here.
I know the words of the psalm, but the priest knows the pastor.
Easter means that we are people transformed. And all this Sunday is Easter Sunday to remind us that Easter is not a single Sunday, one day. Easter is not just a celebration, but a way of life.
