Medjugorje. The last boulder
The last boulder
In the last newsletter "Echoes of Medjugorje", Stefania Consoli says: We arrived at the 30 th anniversary of the apparitions of the Virgin Mary in Medjugorje. Almost we should not add a word. The grace that moves everything is really incredible and leaves us speechless ... A unique event in the history of mankind! Precisely our generation has been privileged to receive the Mother of God for so long and so full of messages that always bring the truth of Heaven.
Rivers people come to this small town, which over the years has completely changed its appearance to suit the demand for accommodation and catering for pilgrims coming from all over the world. Not always share views on the style and perhaps mundane environment has been created around the church - in his day surrounded by vineyards and forests only. But it is not the case dwell on this issue, because the value of Medjugorje plan must be positioned very different: the Spirit, the life of God. WITNESS
are abundant testimonies of pilgrims who have had the joy of being with God from the hand of the Virgin Mary, Queen of Peace. I have here a very simple one, which refers to the most important, forgiveness of sins through the Sacrament of Forgiveness:
It's been almost a year since the last trip to Medjugorje and finally we set a new date
next: On March 24 we left! Ten days before the countdown began. The closer that day, more intense, the days are more stressful work and waking up sweating plays ...
But thank God, the moment arrives. Following the classic mishaps usually found in travel, we reach the goal and you feel immediately at home. Hugs and smiles that greet you: "Welcome back!" And a feeling of deep peace fills your heart.
The first meeting is next Mother, on the Hill of Apparitions. I live almost as a preparation Krizevac rise the next morning, where everyone must face their own Golgotha \u200b\u200b... How could begin without the comfort of our mom, so sweet and intense as it always is?
At the foot of Monte de la Cruz, the next day I feel some anxiety. Via Crucis I know this is not like the others ... The invisible backpack that I carry on my back is full of "rocks" of various shapes and sizes. But there is one that stands out: is the stone of selfishness ... I'm ready to go, Lord, let everything under your cross ... But after the first pass, I was reminded of the sadness I saw in the eyes of a woman who was found shortly before. His niece, 16, is seriously ill. What do I do then? I decide to leave two of my "stones" and two others to raise them.
He climbs to the top without "to march" only rosary, only stick to this rise. Leave stones on the road, and by association with others: with other people who have not been here, who can not climb with me, but they would need to do ... I just have my "boulder."
Sir, I am here for that! The Stations of the Cross are passing a after another. Here we are. I can see it: tall, imposing ... I'm happy and tired, I stand under the Cross of the Redeemer.
I kneel down and slowly empty the bag, offering all the stones that suit me. Well, my turn now, my Lord: I have in my hand my last stone, the "boulder." But again I feel a picture: two eyes suffering ...
a suffering that I know well, I understand. I also know that only you, my Lord, the comfort you. So, here under the cross, I also leave the last stone. Not for me but for this person. May not have offered my sin, my Lord, but you comforted me few hours later, giving me the smile of the aunt, showing that person in line at the confessional with those eyes and less sad. All this was my third trip to Medjugorje. Thank you, Father, I thank you, Mother ... Giovanni Saiani
Some are much stronger. But they all have in common that in Medjugorje leave the stones or the "boulder" that were in the bag of the soul. These are the true miracles of Medjugorje, the conversion, the encounter with God that lies ahead. This summer is expected, as always, a great influx of pilgrims. Thousands of opportunities without fear of opening wide the doors of the soul to God that yolk.

"tax Other variants differ only in the sense of physical place satisfied. Thus pontazgo paid for crossing the bridge, while the barcaje is required to cross rivers by boat. The castillería or castillaje was the right that was paid to cross the territory of a fortress.
The collection of tolls in Benavente and his land-as happened with the commercial activities "is attested from the same period of restocking. Most likely in the first charter of the town, given by Ferdinand II, and we have only fragmentary information, and the exemption is explicitly regulated payment for the villagers of the district Concejil.
toll tariffs transcribed in this study belong to the fifteenth century. A period in which the management and leasing of the tax was in the hands of the council, but, as with other income municipal councils, provided under the mediation and supervision of the Count of Benavente.
In Benavente, the toll is linked intimately to castillaje or castillería. The castillaje, as its name reveals, was originally connected to the military function of the town, and in particular the maintenance of strength. Would be related to the powers of the district as a district Concejil military. Through this territory with goods involved the exercise of certain rights, which initially would be perceived exclusively by the governor's strength, but at this time advanced this century is the Count who controls both the building and its jurisdiction.
benaventanos tariffs are directly proportional to the volume and value of products, distinguishing beast comes the burden of higher and lower load beast. The goods are priced units, livestock, tens, and measures of capacity and weight. The payment of duties, directed primarily to property "of weight aver", intended for sale in both markets, is made in kind and cash, depending on the characteristics of the products subject to tax. There was no apparent demand a special interest or other payment formula. As for the cash used, mention horns as coppers, white old and new money and real. The rate applied is ten a penny money.

Payment of tolls and castillaje rights became effective in various parts of Concejil territory, although the town was without doubt the main enclave of control. The market days, on Thursday, according to local tradition, the villagers came to Benavente to buy and sell their products. These dates would also, along with the seasons of fairs, the portazgueros peak, coinciding with the time that the foreign production, subject to the tax, the city would reach through the usual communication channels. Precisely in the most crowded places and interests of these roads were located control points coincide with the entrances and exits of the territory of the district, bridges and river fords. In the setting of routes and pathways required for merchants, reference points are the gates of the city and the natural pathways leading to them. Fraudsters were considered those travelers who circulate with goods without paying the toll, out of the points used in a radio comprising away from the shrine of St. Lazarus forth from the pontoon to the Puerta Santa Cristina de la Puente and from the chapel of San Anton to the door of Astorga. As we see, these strategic routes cover the town's communications with its district, and with other peripheral regions. The bridge of Santa Cristina, also on the Órbigo, communicates with the valley town of Tera and provides access to Galicia by Sanabria, and finally the church of San Lázaro, located outside the walls, along with current transportation center, was on the route linking the door Santa Cruz Bridge Castrogonzalo.

At that time Jesus said to his disciples: "Do not miss the calm, believe in God and believe also in me In my Father's house are many rooms, otherwise I would have said, and I go to prepare a place.
if I go and prepare a place, again and receive you unto myself that where I am ye may be also. And everywhere I go, you know the road.
Thomas tells him: "Sir, we know not where you go. How can we know the way?
Jesus replied: "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you knew me, you would know my Father also. Now I know and have seen him.
Philip said: "Lord, show us the Father and it suffices us.
Jesus replied: "It's so I'm with you, and do not know me, Philip? Who has seen me has seen the Father. How do you say, 'Show us the Father? Do not you think I am in the Father and the Father in me?
What I say I do not speak self. The Father who dwells in me, he doeth the works.
Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father in me. If not, believe the works. I assure you: he that believeth in me, he also do the works that I do, and even higher. Because I go unto my Father.
COMMENT
first arrived in New York a woman asked him: please, where is the post office? He could not tell me the path.
Anyway I thanked him and told him to come to church on Sunday and I would show him the way that leads to heaven.
not think it will because if you do not know the way to the office of e least know the way to heaven.
In English there is a lovely word "homesick", ie longing for home, longing for the homeland and get a return ticket home.
Today's Gospel has a note of nostalgia. The Lord says to his disciples: I go home to my Father's house.
site for everyone. Jesus does not want to be alone. I am the way and came to the world to teach the way that leads home. Thomas
you listen closely, he interrupted and said: If we do not know where you are going, how can we know the way?
Thomas is asking the road map. Philip
Jesus also said: Teach us a picture Father and that is enough for us.
I am the way and the highway.
I am the end of the trip.
I am the picture of the Father.
The followers of Jesus before Christians were called "the-roaders."
Follow the road is to be "homesick", open to God, a way of life, incorporate a GPS, to know that there is an exit
Some well-marked ... to find the path to the Father's house will look in the Bible or the thousands of books circulating around or consult Google but the best way to find him is to ask someone who's been there. The only one who has been there is Jesus.
Once a student asked the famous theologian Karl Barth was not God manifested in other religions as well as in Christianity and he replied: "God has not revealed itself to any religion or even Christianity. God has revealed Himself in His Son ".
Christians are called to believe in a person, a person living in a person who not only speaks for God but God.
San Pedro's letter reminds us of the four titles that Christians are to display: Race chosen priestly people, a holy nation and people of God.
What are these titles?
To remind us that despite our humanity, with its miseries and scandals, we are also divine.
is God who has brought us to his Church, has chosen us, empowers us to offer this sacrifice and will gather us all in the house of joy, in heaven, where there are many farms and where we are all praising and celebrating Victory of Faith, hope and love.
We who believe in Jesus Christ are the "roaders" and pointed to others with our words and our deeds.
REPORT: The stumbling
was once a king who placed a huge stone on the road. And I used to hide and watch to see if anyone bothered to remove the huge rock.
Some of the richest merchants and courtiers looked at her and just gave a rodeo. Many loudly, cursed the king for not having the roads passable but none did anything to remove it.
One day a farmer came there with his load of vegetables. As he approached the stone, put down his burden and tried to take the stone to the side of the road. After many efforts he succeeded.
When picking your vegetables, he noticed a bag on the floor where he had been the stone. The bag contained many gold coins and a note of the king who said that the money was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway.
The peasant learned what many others never understand. Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition. P. Félix Jiménez Tutor, Piarist

This one opens the guard and care for your voice sheep, and he goes by the name calling to his sheep and leads them out. When he has brought all his own, walking in front of them and the sheep follow him, they know his voice, a stranger will not follow but will flee from him, they know not the voice of strangers.
Jesus made this comparison, but they did not understand what he spoke. That is why Jesus said: "I assure you I am the door of the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not listen. I am the door: whoever enters through me will be saved, and can come and go, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and slaughter, I have come that they may have life and have it abundantly. COMMENT
After a hearty dinner in one of those grand mansions of Hollywood, a famous actor entertained the guests by reciting famous passages from the works of Shakespeare.
the end accepted a last request. A shy and old priest asked if he knew the Psalm 23. Yes, I know it and recite it on one condition, that when I finished reciting, recite you the same psalm.
a little embarrassed the priest accepted the challenge.
The actor said it beautifully and applauded him enthusiastically.
The priest stood up and said the same words but this time there was no applause, just silence and a few tears content.
The actor relished the silence for a moment and stood up. Ladies and gentlemen I hope you have understood what just happened here.
I know the words of the psalm, but the priest knows the pastor.

WHERE FORMS - WHERE
* Where and where, in these sentences are not wh:
Is that the cafeteria where are we going?
Were not they where the accident had happened?
operate in interrogative sentences, but they are not wh, because they do not ask. Are relative adverbs.
* Where never works as an interrogator, it is always relative adverb .
* Where can on : example above, or this one: At that place is where it comes to walking [= a which] and interrogative : Where do we go? I know where you took him .
* well in this Notice : where and can go where interrogative sentences without being wh but relative adverbs (place). And where interrogative pronoun can be even if you are in a direct interrogative sentence, as in the latest example.
* Where, when interrogative adverb carries tilde. And so does where , where , where to , where so forth. We have said that where ever write interrogative value, when used to ask where we . ACTIVITIES
ACTIVITY 1 .- Given the above, put tick in where or where, if needed in the following sentences. In the exclamations operate the same rules
- where How you put my shoes?

- where you were you?
- can not imagine where we headed
- Where goes the
- What drought all land where we ! Logged
- where did not have to go!
We are, therefore, that where and where can function as adverbs relating . But when we write where and when to where ? Here's the rule:
will write the relative adverb where in one word, when used in prayer its antecedent:
- At that plaza where is come to pass.
- We left Santiago , where we arrived at three.
- Is that cafeteria where we ?
and write where If not contained in its antecedent sentence:
- We went to where are waiting for us.
- Were not they where the accident had happened?
- Logged where you did not have to go!
ACTIVITY 2 .- Taking these rules into account in the following sentences choose the correct spelling (in some cases, indicating if necessary where you check in, because it works as an interrogator):
- have not told us ( where / where ) was. I went
- ( where / where ) had told me. We went
- ( where / where ) is the sea.
- Go to the room ( where / where ) will hold the meeting.
- Why do not we ( where / where ) can inform us?
- At this office is ( where / where ) should send the letter. Send the letter
- ( where / where ) said the newspaper.
- I could watch you ( where / where ) shows the water!
remember this: never write where, but where when it is interrogative value.
In several of the above statements, we can see that where and where can be replaced normally where . In fact, sometimes where (or where ) equals preposition + where (or where ) and we can dispense with the preposition: I went
where you told me = I went where you told me
We know where = We where you know.
ACTIVITY 3 .- In the following sentences, where preceded by preposition. Those points we can dispense with such prepositions:

DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY
Every Sunday after Easter Sunday we celebrate the Feast of the Lord of Divine Mercy. It's a new party in the Church, which has the distinction of having been requested by Jesus Christ through St. Faustina Kowalska, twentieth-century Polish nun who died in 1938 at 33 years of age.
Sister Faustina was canonized by Pope John Paul II, precisely on the Feast of Divine Mercy 2000. Papa told us that his compatriot, Sister Faustina, was very special mystical graces through contemplative prayer, to tell the world the poignant mystery of the Divine Mercy of the Lord. "God spoke to us through Sister Faustina Kowalska ... inviting in the total abandonment, "she said Papa.
Let's see what things God tells us through St. Faustina. In the Old Testament
sent him to my people the prophets with thunder. Today I am sending all mankind with My mercy. I do not want to punish humanity full of pain, but pressing it to heal my merciful heart.
Speak to the world of My mercy, so that all mankind recognize My infinite Mercy. It is the sign of recent times. Then it will come the day of justice. There is still time ... Before I come as a just Judge, I open wide the doors of My mercy. Who does not want to go through the door of My mercy must pass through the door of My justice.
God possesses all the attributes or qualities infinitely. Yes, infinitely merciful, but also infinitely just. His justice and His mercy go hand in hand.
But through this Holy of our time tells us that for now, for us, has stopped his Justice to give way to their mercy. We are not punished as deserve for our sins, nor punished as they deserve the world the sins of the world, but gives us the immense abyss of His infinite mercy. But if we open ourselves to his mercy, we must stick to his justice. Graves words of the Lord! Moreover, consistent with their words in the Gospel ... And come the time of Justice ... Come ...
Today in the Gospel (Jn 20, 19-31) and when we read the words with which Jesus instituted the sacrament of confession, of forgiveness. The mystery of His mercy. But let us also see what the Lord has told us about Confession through St. Faustina:
When you go to confession I myself know that I hope in the confessional, I'm just hiding in the priest. But I myself act in your soul. Here the misery of the soul meets the God of Mercy. Call to Confession
Tribunal of Mercy. What a name so appropriate! Because it is this: a court to which we invited (not required) and where we always acquitted (not blame us or condemn us.) Unusual: absolve us together for our lack. The sentence is always forgiveness. It is a court acquits us even though we are guilty.
How is that so many people fail to take advantage of the grace that Jesus dealt in its Court of Mercy! To qualify
does not ask the great things come with just enough faith to the feet of my representative (the Priest) and with faith confess their misery ... Although the soul like a decaying corpse (ie, dead and broken by sin) and that was all already seems lost, for God is not.
Oh! How unhappy are those who do not take advantage of this miracle of Divine Mercy! Because if you do not take the mercy now, we must follow after justice. Those are our choices.
In today's Gospel we have seen how important the Faith "Blessed are those who, without seeing, believe" Jesus Christ said to St. Thomas the Apostle, who did not want creer que Cristo había resucitado, porque no lo había visto. La Fe es la virtud sobre la cual se funda la Esperanza. De la Fe brota la confianza y ésta nos lleva a la Esperanza. La confianza es esencial para poder aprovecharnos de las gracias de la Misericordia de Dios.

In today's Gospel we have seen how important the Faith "Blessed are those who, without seeing, believe" Jesus Christ said to St. Thomas the Apostle, who did not want creer que Cristo había resucitado, porque no lo había visto. La Fe es la virtud sobre la cual se funda la Esperanza. De la Fe brota la confianza y ésta nos lleva a la Esperanza. La confianza es esencial para poder aprovecharnos de las gracias de la Misericordia de Dios.
